What to wear for your photo session | Photographer Allen, McKinney, Frisco, Plano

Lots of photo sessions coming up:  Baby Plans, Mini Sessions, Spring Sessions.  Yeah!  So, with all of these sessions, I am getting a ton of questions on what to wear.  Choosing your wardrobe for your session is a BIG job.  There are way too many color choices and combinations out there.  And I know that you want to look PERFECT for the big day.

So, I’ve laid out a wardrobe combination for the “typical” family of four.  Hopefully, this can give you a few ideas.  Or feel free to copy my ideas completely – all of the below styles are current (picked out from each vendor’s website today).   Haha, now I’ll have 5 families showing up in the same outfits 🙂

1)  Try to coordinate colors that look great together and also look great for the season.  Some examples:  Yellows and blues, Oranges and Yellows, Oranges and Blues.

2)  Coordinate, but don’t match.  It’s pretty “old school” to show up with everyone wearing a matching blue polo shirt and matching khaki shorts.  Then again, I’m an “old school” kinda gal.  I’d totally be down with it if you all show up in florescent clothes and big headbands, like Madonna used to wear, lol.  Okay, no, please don’t do that!

3)  Accessories can be fun!  I’d love to take a photo of everyone wearing their favorite sunglasses!  Big, chunky jewelry can look great on mom, a fun sunhat for sister, brother’s favorite newsboy hat.  Whatever you got, I’m down with it.

4)  Don’t be afraid to add color or patterns.  Just remember – a little bit goes a long way.  It’s okay for ONE person to wear stripes, but it’s too much if everyone does it.

Now that I’ve totally confused you, feel free to ask me any other questions you might have!
