Allen, TX & Parker, TX Newborn Photographer / Baby Nolan

Meet sweet baby Nolan!  I met Nolan and his wonderful family last week when I went to their home in Plano, TX for an at-home newborn session last weekend.  Doing an at-home session was a bit of a change of pace since my newborn sessions are typically done in my Allen, TX studio.  It was a lot more work to bring all of my stuff, but so worth it because the family was able to relax at home.

I had such a great time getting to know this sweet family.  Nolan, oh my, what cuteness.  He was such a sleepy, easy baby, my favorite kind!  I took way too many photos of the little guy.  Just couldn’t help myself.  I can’t wait to share all of the cuteness…

Baby Sawyer – look at those gorgeous eyes.  I just adore wide awake shots…. well, as long as baby goes into snoozy land shortly afterwards!  Sawyer came to see me yesterday for his newborn session and I think he did an excellent job.  Slept when he was supposed to, woke up when he was supposed to.  Just perfect.

And I am pretty sure I’ve never seen a baby look as cute as Sawyer does in the first photo.  So sweet!

Meet baby Mila!  This sweet baby girl came to see me last week for her mini newborn session.  She slept so well, which was awesome!  We were able to get some really great photos for mommy and daddy.  That first photo… oh my, just love it.  Then again, I pretty much love anything with plain.  Yes, I am a girl of the 80’s for sure.

I hope mommy and daddy love these photos.  Then again, how can they not?  Mila Jade is just about as prefect as can be!

Meet baby girl Natalie… this sweet baby girl came to my studio this weekend and I have to say, she absolutely captured my heart.  She is 6 months old and has the most beautiful brown eyes and such a great personality.

But, precious little Natalie has a story to tell.  You see, I was supposed to do Natalie’s newborn session.  But shortly after her birth, I received an email from Natalie’s mommy.  Natalie was going to be in the Nicu because she was unable to feed.  The doctors did not know what was wrong and were forced to put baby girl on a feeding tube… I can only imagine how scared her parents were at this point.

It took the doctors a couple of weeks to figure out what was going on.  Finally, Natalie was diagnosed with a rare syndrome called Prader-Willi. This diagnosis was devastating to Natalie’s parents!  When I heard the news, I’ll admit, my heart absolutely broke for them.   To feel utterly helpless and to know your baby will face many life challenges has got to be one of the worst feelings for a parent to endure.

A few months went by before I heard from Natalie’s mommy again.  They had settled into their new routine and were ready for photos of their baby girl and her big brother.  I was so thrilled to finally meet this brave little girl, who has endured so much in her little life.  Natalie’s parents are so obviously in love with their children are enthusiastic about spreading awareness of Natalie’s diagnosis.  You see, it is such an uncommon syndrome that many have never heard of it… many doctors do not know how to treat it.

This diagnosis will bring about many challenges in Natalie’s life.  To name a few:  Low muscle tone (causing delayed sitting, crawling, problems walking, etc), cognitive disabilities, and uncontrollable chronic feelings of hunger leading to life-threatening obesity (never feeling full despite food intake and needing a padlock on the fridge/cabinets to limit food availability!)  This is life threatening and very serious.   To find out more about Prader-Willi, please visit:  http://www.pwsausa.org/

Though Natalie will face many challenges, I have no doubt that she will move mountains.  She has the support of her parents, who show so much love and pride for their little girl.  I am so happy that they chose me to help spread the word on Prader-Willi syndrome.   And because no post should end without photos, I am so proud to introduce Natalie and big brother, Andrew!

Meet baby Matthew!  This sweet and sleepy little guy came to have his newborn photos done last week.  At 10 days old, he was absolutely perfect at his session. He slept for two hours straight, which allowed us to get some reeeeeallly cute stuff.  He had some awesome expressions, so of course, I had to take photos of them ha!

I am absolutely positive that mommy and daddy will fall in love with these photos!

Now, to get time to update my blog with the other 20 sessions I have never gotten around to posting 🙂

Newborn Photographer in Allen TX – Jackson

Welcome baby Jackson!

Jackson came to see me last month at my studio in Allen, TX, where we did his newborn photos.  I am so excited that Jackson’s parents chose me as their newborn photos because they had some really fun ideas for photos.  We got to use daddy’s Hockey equipment, which is way awesome.  I really love how the final shot came out… though I can only take a small amount of credit for it (mom and dad’s idea).

This session came out great and I hope mommy and daddy loved their images from the session!

Oh, and GO Allen Americans!!!!
